In the coming weeks, OPTIMAL GROUP will once again take part in REPMUS26 and ARTEx26, continuing our commitment to developing, testing and validating innovative technologies in operational environments.

REPMUS26 – Robotic Experimentation and Prototyping with Maritime Unmanned Systems
Led by the Portuguese Navy, REPMUS is a large-scale multinational operational experimentation exercise focused on the development, validation and employment of unmanned systems in the maritime domain.
The exercise brings together operational users, industry and academia to explore and refine technological and operational concepts.
For OPTIMAL, REPMUS is an opportunity to take our technologies beyond development and put our solutions to the test in the field, gaining operational insight and continuously improving our capabilities.
Following our participation in REPMUS25 – including the successful maritime launch of the HUNTER-02 rocket from NRP Figueira da Foz – we look forward to returning to the field in 2026.
ARTEx26 – Army Technological Experimentation
The journey will continue at Campo Militar de Santa Margarida, where the Portuguese Army will host ARTEx26, its technological experimentation exercise focused on testing emerging solutions in realistic defence scenarios.
ARTEx26 supports the experimentation and validation of innovative technologies, the modernisation of the Land Force and the transition of emerging solutions towards military application.
In 2026, ARTEx26 will also be linked to the European Defence Agency’s HEDI OPEX campaign, adding a European dimension to operational experimentation and testing.
For OPTIMAL, this is another opportunity to demonstrate our technologies where it matters most: in the field, alongside operational users and in demanding environments.
Our participation in ARTEx25 included the successful demonstration of the HUNTER-01 launch system and field testing of our composite ballistic protection solutions, including successful testing towards higher protection levels.
From land to air and maritime environments, OPTIMAL GROUP remains permanently in the field, developing, manufacturing, testing, learning and delivering.
